Gosh...that is so tough because palps can happen and often do with any dose change of any thryoid med. Also...the blance of the the t3/t4 might simply need adjusting rather than tossing out the armour all together. Everyone is different. I'm sorry you are going through this suffering. E.

The EKG showed the tachycardia, but no electrical issues. The palps

don't bother me as much as the inability to fully inflate my lungs. I

am not to be on any thyroid meds until it is sorted out from what I

understand.

Right now, I am almost willing to try Synthroid.. God help me.

Thanks for your support,

Misty

Misty... gripe away.. this is a crappy time for you...

Seems that if your heart is still doing the pitter pat after two weeks its' not the direct T3 in the Armour.... How are the Frees looking.. are you running high Free T3 that might indicate that you are one of the rare 'super converters'?

I had the echo(heart ultrasound) yesterday and my doctor should getthe results today, although who knows when I will getthem - I keep calling and leaving messages for hisoffice and haven't gotten a returned call as of yet.Things feel pretty dismal. My muscles hurt when I tryto walk (which, on Armour 3 miles 3-4 times weekly wasnormal) and my stomach pain and the big "C" are bothback. I am also having trouble falling and stayingasleep. Emotionally, I am okay. I just feel like a manwithout a country - or a lady without a medicalsystem, I guess. My first "Armour-free period" wasterrible, of course. Topper -

I am actually feeling worse. Tired and cloudy. I'll let ya know what

(if anything) the echocardiogram looks like.

How long do you think it will be before my TSH goes to crud??

Love,

M

A great converter - never thought about it. At highest dosage about 3

weeks ago, my frees were in the top quarter of high. (as in if high

was 100, then mine were 75)

;)

I'll ask my DO - he isn't a big adrenal support-supporter.

If I call the hospital where the echo was done, can I get any info

about it?

I agree! It scares me to hear anyone without the med. You can drain the tissues of the t4 and it can take a year to replace it. Palpitations are simply par for the course with thryoid replacement because the heart is the biggest muscle in our body as is VERY sensitive to hormonal changes. The word "hormone" is greek for: to stimulate. I think at this point I would freak out if I didn't have my heart changes. The more serverly hypo you are too...the worse this is I found. When I was hypo my bp was like 110/60..and the pulse was 75. Later I got it up 10 120/80....and the palps stopped. ******* The differentail can be if you already have plaque ladden arteries. Then one can have high blood pressure while hypo. When person take armour...the heart races, scaring the poort patient.

~E:) ary wrote: IMO, I think that the truth is this; that our own thyroids used to (on the minute) regulate up and down, according to what every single body part needs, including the heart, and that with taking the hormone from the outside of the body, it is soooo rigid an amt of hormone, but it's the best we can do, even on an optimal dose of whatever. We simply can't outperform what the original thing did quite naturally, so I think that some of us are going to have up and down regulation of the electricity to the heart, mainly because that one set amt is not what our heart always needs, on a minute to minute basis. I still have palps sometimes, but

not as often or as bad as before. I will tell anyone that the up and down regulation of the female hormones can have something to do with this, as well as many other things can. Being a young woman does not mean that the fun can't begin much earlier, it did with me, when it came to the progesterone. Both estrogen and progesterone loss can cause heart palpitations and racing heart, and so can many other things. She is suffering needlessly without her thyroid med, which her body desperately needs right now, even if in a different amt.
