Yes, Trudy, in my understanding, there is less risk of stenosis in

the Pappone procedure because they stay farther away from the ostia.

I think that is one reason why there is so much interest in the

procedure recently.

But Natale at the CC does the French, right? Now I'm asking myself

why would he continue doing the French procedure if the Italian one

is better with less risk.

Perhaps the answer is that we really don't know which is " best " . My

cardiologist (not an EP, so he has nothing professional at stake) says

there will probably develop several good ways to approach the problem

with perhaps guidelines that might steer a solution this way or that if

specific circumstances warrant. According to him, there never will be a

" best " way that precludes all others.

Yes, . Dr. Natale does the french. I asked him if he did the

Pappone procedure, he said that they had tried it several years ago

and weren't getting as good results.
