Guest guest
WELCOME HOME, BRANDON!!!!!! And I can feel for you, --I have been there with the unbelievable pain from the stomach acid coming up. I can see why you thought it was a heart attack, Chris--I thought I was having one each time it happened to me. It's only happened about 5 times that bad, but it was HORRIBLE!!!!! My chest and everything hurt so bad, I went into the ER, sure I was having a heart attack--like they did the EKG, etc., and then they put me on Prilosec! My heart is with you guys!! , mom to Codybug (pwcf, 5-1/2), a (wocf, 12-1/2) and DJ (wocf, 7) smichelle15@... is home Hey all, Well i went to the hospital to see brandon today(saturday) and when we got there brandon looked at me and said are you ready to go home i said sure, but i thought the dr wanted him to stay another week. well i guess she changed her mind. his co2 level is 54%-- should be 15-20% his lungs are ok, not the best. no pft's this time around since all the problems he has been having. so we drive all the way back home (1 hour) and stop at the pharmacy and i go back to the van and theres brandon crying saying he's in all this pain. i drove home and got him on oxygen and pulseox and then he started passing out and in very bad pain. called the ambulance and then called the hospital back told them we were coming back. well got to the hospital and there were 4 drs looking at him, they had no clue. it looked like he was having a heart attack. but 12 year old don't just have heart attacks. well they did the ekg and the heart enzymes. no heart attack, no stroke. which we were happy to hear. they looked at us as if they were dumbfounded. no answer. then 1 dr just happened to say about the esophogus(?)and stomach acid. well that made sense. so the problem with him not is too much acid in the stomach and it is coming up the esophogus and causing it to go into spasms. and cause alot of pain. the prescriptions i dropped off earlier were for pepcid , so we wont have that until tomorrow. but fortunately my husband takes prilosec. so as we speak brandon is laying on the couch waiting for the prilosec to work. it is going to be a very long night and i have to go to work in the morning. but at least he is home. thanks to all those whom e-mailed him. he loved talking to you. plus he got a kick out of talking to people that are from different countries. chris _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ PLEASE do not post religious emails to the list. ------------------------------------------- The opinions and information exchanged on this list should IN NO WAY be construed as medical advice.
