I have a defibrillator implanted (for rhythms other than a-fib) and it is set to shock at a sustained rate of 180. I, too, would go to ER and have holter monitor put on and be in the care of an EP. Bill........how about a beta blocker with a pacemaker/ICD implanted rather than an ablation. The pacemaker will only kick in if heart rate goes under a pre-set rate.
