Guest guest
To remind you, , age 5 was implanted in May and his other ear has bottomed out to the point a HA does nothing. So, we've been working to get our insurance to pay for another implant. Well, it's taken several months, but we've managed to get a meeting with our insurance's medical representative. He says he is open to changing coverage policies if it has proven medical advantages and isn't just some company trying to promote their product. Ok, friends. Could you help us out? If you have any articles, research or websites that promote bilateral implants, please pass them on to me. You all may have some that we have overlooked. Also, prayers that the meeting on Jan. 6th goes wonderfully! Thanks! I'll keep you all posted! mom to , 5, progressive bilateral loss at 3, CI in May , 3, hearing and obeying at times , 6.5 weeks, hearing and soooooo chubby
Guest guest
- Do you have the AGBell stuff on bilateral implants? I remember that something was published back this past spring/early summer and know that they distributed a number of documents at the conference this year on the benefits of bilateral implantation. I must have my copy somewhere, but my personal filing system is rather, well, pathetic. Perhaps someone reading this knows what I'm talking about??? Tina N, if you're reading this, I'm thinking about some of the articles where they profiled . I'm fairly sure the Volta Review just published something or is about to publish on this topic too. Maybe a call into them when the office reopens would get you what you need. WE GOT A MEETING!!!
