Guest guest
Anyone interested in meeting at a certain time or place to say " hi " to others from this message board - I would love to meet you all Any thoughts or ideas on how this could possibly work - My mother will be attending with me and we're flying in Thursday and will be leaving Sunday morning - We'll be staying at the Ramada Inn Godwin (mom of 4.5 yr old & 2.2 yr old Chase)
Guest guest
I'd love to meet up - I'll be staying with my SIL in Pittsburgh but will be renting a car to get around so can meet anywhere! Is anyone going to the dinner on Saturday (I'm assuming that's still going to happen)? Guest guest
Seems like we're all flying in on Thursday - my flight on USAirways is supposed to get into Pittsburgh at 4:57 p.m. (I'm flying out again on Saturday and may actually have to cut out of the conference a tad early). Would really love to meet up but don't know enough about Pittsburgh to pick a time or place. I could get some info from my SIL or we could just look at the conference schedule and set something up that way. Guest guest
Hi, - What about the family dinner on Friday night? That might give us more time to chat and stuff? Just a thought. Sherry Rome <christinerome@...> wrote: that sounds great. Guest guest
Hi sherry, that would be good too but I did not reserve the family dinner when I registered. Guest guest
Hi, - Yep, the family dinner would be good but if you can't get a reservation we'll figure something else out. Dh, Josh and won't be coming with - just me but I made a reservation for the dinner for my SIL so she can truly get an idea of what's going on in Josh's (and our) life from perspectives other than ours - I hope she actually will come with! You know what I mean? It's one thing to try to explain the therapies, the behaviors, the whatevers to family and friends but it's another thing when they hear the same things from other people about their kids - it makes them understand, I think, that we are not crazy or being overly dramatic or something like that when we try to talk to them about Josh and everything that goes on at our house (like therapies SSOOO many times a week, the fights with school systems, etc.). Guest guest
Hi All Pittsburgh-goers!!! Meeting up at the registration area on Friday at lunch is a great idea! How about everyone wearing a little cherub (CHERAB) pin or something that would indicate our connection with the CHERAB Foundation/this email line??? Sherry Godwin <cwg1@...> wrote: Jill, Sherry, (I hope I haven't forgotten anyone) - This is to anyone interested in meeting up at the Apraxia-Kids Conference in Pittsburgh 7-15-7/17: Hi! We just got back from vacation late last night - I only had a few minutes to sift through the 100+ emails but I was so happy to see that you are interested in meeting up at some point. I think lunch on Friday sounds great and then if the group wants to continue getting together throughout the weekend, we can firm things up at that point or...at least we'll be able to recognize one another to say, " Hey...do you want to sit here with us? " I don't know...what do the rest of you think? Since we'll be in conference that day, breaking at the same time most likely, we should plan a place to meet. Now...I'm not sure if they're providing the lunch or not but...it probably would have been a good idea for me to have looked into that before I posted - I'm just in a hurry to get on the bus now - Do you think we should say that we'll meet at the Registration Desk (wherever we originally signed in) as soon as we break for lunch? Perhaps we can all me holding a pen or something silly like that so we can find one another - Any ideas? Help...it's too early for my brain right now Godwin (mom of & Chase)

Guest guest
hey sherry, ok, we'll try it, if not maybe coffee later. I totally understand what your saying. had one his days at my aunt's house, and people I think gained a new respect for me. and understood why I was crying at the end of the day. I looooove them to live one day with when he's at his worst so they could see. chris sherry silvern <srsilvern@...> wrote: Hi, - Yep, the family dinner would be good but if you can't get a reservation we'll figure something else out.
