Guest guest
I wondered the same thing! But..would the " improving " effect of the cleansing, which could have made my Armour too much suddenly, still be in effect? I stopped the cleansing for good nearly 2 weeks ago, but three days later, and since then for the past 7 days, have palps " almost " every day. And these are STRONG palps. And when I first stopped the cleanse at the end of day 13 (it was supposed to be a 30 day cleanse), the palps ceased the entire three days I was off it.. When I started again for one day, they started. When I stopped the clease, they stopped. But...three days later, they resumed. That's when it dawned on me that ginger, which I have been taking two capsules a day, was ALSO in the clease herbs. And I did find resources which pointed to excessive ginger causing palps. So I stopped the ginger, and the palps stopped...only to restart again several days ago. I will send chocolate to whomever figures this weird situation out. LOL. In my life, I find that there's always an obvious clue. The colon cleanse is an obvious clue--the palps did start ONLY when I started that. I have never in my life had palps like this....my heart does the jitterbug when they are occuring. But the on and off since I stopped the cleanse baffles me!! IF the cleanse is somehow the culprit, is it simply taking awhile for the herbs to get out of my system? Many questions to ponder here... Janie > i wonder if, with the cleansing, your body functioned more efficiently > and rapidly, and on those days you actually ended up being on more > armour than you need... > > b >

Guest guest
well the effects of a colon cleanse are lasting, till it gets clogged again. right? so, assuming it's the effects of the colon cleanse (and i am not insisting that it is, i bet it's probably even not), you would still be on too much armour. but...given ginger DOES cause palpitations (i remember palpitating wildly when i was 17 after a small od of ginger supplement), it is probably the ginger. although i can see no sense in it having stayed in your system this long. what are the complete ingredients of the colon cleanser--can you point to a link? maybe the answers lie outside of ginger. best, baron > > > I wondered the same thing! Guest guest
> what are the complete ingredients of the colon cleanser--can you >point to a link? maybe the answers lie outside of ginger. There are many varieties of colon cleanses. The particular one I tried is called the Paraway Pack. When you look at the ingredients of the morning caps, they look quite benign.....: Black Walnut Pumpkin Seed Knotweed Extract Clove Flower Bulb Sageleaf Garlic Bulb Extract Gentian Root Hyssop Leaf Fenugreek Seed Chamomile Flower Extract Black Pepper Fruit Peppermint Leaf Thyme Leaf Fennel Seed Chlorophyll ....but when you research each of these, you see that there ARE side effects, even if rare. I only got through the first six of them looking at the side effects--none pointed to palps, but side effects, nonetheless. The Fiber you take is where the Ginger is, plus several other innocuous ingredients that include flowers, leaves, bark, and roots. The tea at the end of the day contains more of the above--flowers, herbs, bark, roots. But even IT has strong effects on your intestines--it causes them to cramp during the night. Again...these herbs are not benign.... Another interesting fact: the person I got this from has worked with folks using this pack for 6 years, and she has never known of anyone having palps like I have! So more of the mystery is.....was ANYONE that she had been working with on Armour??? Is there SOME connection between using the herbs above, and a relationship with thyroid support like Armour?? WHAT did the colon cleanse do to me....HOW did it do it....and why is it still effecting me nearly 2 weeks after I stopped the cleanse for good? Guest guest
Does " palps " mean heart palpatations or more rapid heartbeat? If so, I've been feeling that more lately too & don't know why. It comes along with anxiety too. Tho my life is very peaceful right now with not much, if any stress, at all. So I can't imagine what's causing it OR the anxiety & nightmares. Is that related to cortisol elevation? I haven't changed my diet either so can't figure out what's causing it. Guest guest
this is a wild guess, but isn't black walnut a source of iodine? and isn't iodine reactive to hypothyroids? and haven't hypothyroids reported palpitations, amongst other symptoms, when taking iodine? b > > >> what are the complete ingredients of the colon cleanser--can you >> point to a link? maybe the answers lie outside of ginger. > > There are many varieties of colon cleanses. I forgot about that! It's a brilliant hypothesis. I think you also mentioned potassium, right? Do you think, though, this could be the case when I stopped it all 2 weeks ago..and am still having palps?? Janie
