I'm the same way. just terrible with names and descriptive words. even now

I sometimes say a word...and then ask my husband " is that the right word? " .

What's scary is the my elevated cortisol levels also cause this

problem...combine that with hypo...and it's a wonder i remember anything.

I'm the same way. just terrible with names and descriptive words. even now

I sometimes say a word...and then ask my husband " is that the right word? " .

What's scary is the my elevated cortisol levels also cause this

problem...combine that with hypo...and it's a wonder i remember anything.

Yeah, our thinking & even our eye-hand coordination gets skewed. I've noticed

that happening to me too. And can't even think of the right words to use when

speaking either half the time, feeling like the village idot when I was a

staright A student in grammar, handwriting, typing & English. Thankfully I can

still type tho or else I'd be useless on these wonderully informative egroups.

Which is also the only social life I have much of anymore.

one of the first things I noticed when my thyroid started going funky was I

couldn't pronounce words. I was at work one day and tried to use the word

adamant, and prounounced it adamnant.....one of the guys cracked up laughing and

I realized what I'd done. lol. That was my first recollection that I couldn't

come up with a word that I knew, and knew how to use it. It didn't get better

till recently, although sometimes I still have problems trying to 'grasp the

right word'. And oh my, my typing was never with as many mistakes as it has

been since I first went hypoT. I type fast, but man, I can sure make mistakes.

I know it's happening to others cuz I see typo's all the time! :-) Where I

used to be much better at grammar, it's almost impossible for me to catch my

mistakes till I see the post already where everybody else can see it. lol.

This used to 'never' happen!
