Why does it have to be so confusing?

Ok, so Ian has an ear infection, doesn't want to wear his HAs. He has not

worn them much the past couple of days.

So yesterday, he sees a Dog on TV, and clear as day says DOG! DOG!

I would think that without his HAs that he would have either not been able

to say it, or would have not said it clearly.....I dunno.
