Guest guest
Hi, I was wanting to share my test results, if anyone can make form any opinions on my particular situation and my levels etc. I am not smart in this field whatsoever, thanks. Below is the Goiter, then the blood work. NECK ULTRASOUND, HISTORY: Thyroid goiter. FINDINGS: A sonogram of the neck is performed and demonstrates the thyroid gland to be diffusely enlarged and heterogenous in appearance. The left thyroid lobe measures 5.0 x 1.8 x 2.2 cm and demonstrates a single hyperechoic focus within its posterior aspect measuring 0.4 x 0.4 x 0.3 cm. The thyroid isthmus measures 0.4 cm. The left thyroid lobe measures 4.9x1.5 x2.1 cm. No maas lesion in the left thyroid lobe is seen. 1. DIFFUSELY ENLARGED HETEROGENOUS THYROID GLAND WITH SINGLE HYPERECHOIC FOCUS IN THE RIGHT THYROID LOBE. THIS DOES NOT DEFINITELY REPRESENT A DOMINANT NODULE, AND THEREFORE SERIAL THYROID ULTRASOUND FOLLOW UP EVALUATIONS WOULD BE RECOMMENDED. In Range Reference Range Lab 2.0-35.0 ng/mL Test Name THYROGLOBULIN PANEL (Continued) THYROGLOBULIN Out of Range <0.2 L Additional information: Manufacturer: When monitoring patients over time, Tg values obtained with different methods cannot be used interchangeably due to the differences in method and reagent specifications. It is easier on us if you post it.. test..result..range... WBC 10.8 ( 4-10.8).. I had a really hard time following which test result was which etc. The few I did figure out, you have a high WBC.. this is because the Neurophil WBC is elevated meaning you have inflammation..ie goiter.. The antibody test shows you have Hashimoto's an autoimmune thyroid disorder and your Free T4 is on the lower side and your TSH is elevated meaning you should be on replacement hormone to suppress your TSH below 1.0 .. The others..sorry like I said I had a hard time following what lab was what result and what was what range.. Kats3boys
Guest guest
Kat, thanks. I scanned it right from the page that it came from. I didn't change anything there. Thats the actual lab result page. I appreciate your help. Although your help doesn't really answer any of my questions, I do thank you for your effort. SBC, I don't know what any of this stuff is actually. The goiter makes sense, since I have one. The other stuff, I'll haveh to go back and look at. It was how the page was layed out. Perhaps it wasn't read in HTML as it was sent to you. If you read it from the web page on yahoo it may make more sense, you could be stripping HTML in your e-mail making the plain text very difficult to read. Thanks again..
