feeding frustration

Even though Colin is two, I still have to feed him with a spoon. He can handle

finger foods on his own, but the spoon is something that needs a lot more

practice. Well, in the past couple of weeks, if I don't get a bite to his

mouth fast enough, he throws a fit! He starts waving his arms, pushing the

spoon away, often knocking food to the floor. If I do get a bite into his

mouth, he reaches in with his fingers and scrapes his tongue! He also resonds

this way if I try to feed him the wrong thing. WEll, of course, I have no idea

what he wants! Has someone else experienced this? How can we adress the

problem?
