Guest guest
Just keep in the back of your mind, if you don't see any real changes going gf/cf that soy can be as big an issue as casein, sma e type of protein. Remember that from way back when my oldest had developed excema and pediatrician said don't even bother with soy as it is too similar in protein structure as casein. Also my son's doctor told us when we went gf/cf soy free as well. Maybe an issue, may not be.---

What did you do/what did your doctor instruct you to do regarding protein if the soy had affected allergies? My son has excema too and it does seem to be worse these past five GFCG days! I have been making soy smoothies w/rice milk, etc...it seems like almost every meal has lots of soy in it. Soy/free sounds difficult...any advice greatly appreciated. Luckily Luke does eat a fair amount of meat, so perhaps I should cut out the soy in a week or so when it seems to not have improved...? Thanks
Guest guest
Hi Karey, As far as soy free, yes it is a bit more difficult, soy and casein from what I read slow down the bodies detox pathways, so any " crap " doesn't get eliminated as quickly as it should. If you want, I can give you a list of soy free gf/cf store bought products that are pretty child friendly, well my son eats them without any problems. If your son eats meats, then it will be so much easier, to get a decent meal in him.My hardest meal to replace was breakfast. My son is also good meat eater, so it is more filling. And to note Rice Dream rice milk brand has small amount of casein in it, so not a good brand to use,Just let me knwo and I will send it on.
