I haven't had any problems with chinese food since having the surgery.

In fact have found a new interest in it. I have tried egg drop soup

(love it), orange chicken (love it), and so General Tso's chicken. A

couple of bites of the chicken, and I am stuffed!

I have had half an eggroll with cabbage in it,and use a dab of sweet

and sour sauce for dipping, no problem with dumping, it is such a

minimal amount of sugar.

I'm going to try and sample some more chinese food, it's the quality

not the quantity anymore for me!!!!

(egg drop soup connesseuir) :))

I am almost 1 year post op, and I can tolerate some Chinese foods.

Any and all Chinese soups are fine, and I can eat my beloved hot & sour!

Egg rolls do not go down well for me, they are too greasy. Any of the fried

foods are a problem, they make me dump and give me abdominal discomfort. A

bite or two is all I can tolerate. I stay with the light stir-fried dishes

that are not breaded, and I'm ok! Spice is not a problem at all though,

thank God!

I have LOVED Chinese food since, well for a LONG time! But, since my RNY, I

have to have Chinese food made WITHOUT OIL! I can't tolerate fried foods; and

if oils are used, to eat the leftovers gives me dumping BIG TIME! So, I just

TRY to remember to order everything with NO OIL! But that means no Gen.

Tsao's chicken. <SIGH>
