Guest guest
Yes. If I did not have a hearing screening I would never have known he had loss. But, what he can't hear is mostly in the " speech banana " . When you get loss numbers ask for a Audiogram of Familiar Sounds. I am so glad I have that. It shows what REAL sounds he can't hear. Ian babbles and reacts to sounds just like other kids. But with his hearing aids on, he doesn't search for sounds, he knows EXACTLY where they came from. It was definately an eye opener when he first put the hearing aids on. It was amazing the look on his face. I kinda just consider his hearing aids like my glasses. He needs a little extra help just like me. Tawnya Tawnya again > >Hi again Tawnya, > >Can Ian hear anything without the aids?? > >thanks, > >Ricky's mom, 7 months > >-- In Listen-Up , " The Archers " <tndarcher@c...> wrote: >> , >> >> Ian's hearing loss is mild/moderate and he uses Hearing Aids. =) >> >> Tawnya >> > > > > > >All messages posted to this list are private and confidential.
