Guest guest
Being almost totally new to all of this, I must tell all of you how grateful I am to have stumbled across this list BEFORE I ran into the CDE folks. I am not one to make a stand against someone who supposedly knows much more than I about a subject. So the reinforcement I get here is invaluable. There are very few endocrinologists here in town. My choices will be very limited also by finances. My internist that diagnosed me is not easy to get up with between appointments so I'm kind of stuck until things change financially. So, how do you guys convince the medical pros that you need more or different meds? All I get from the doctors is " you don't need to test that often. " And when I call trying to get my dosage increased, I get no response what so ever. This is getting very frustrating. I dream about losing my sight or my feet!!!! Very troubling to say the least. I almost wish I was a type 1 so I could go ahead and get the insulin so I could achieve better control. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to all of you. The information you pass along on the list is worth its weight in gold and very much appreciated.
