Guest guest
Hi Janie, Yep, I'm about as miserable as they come. I started taking Armour this past Saturday when it got here, started on 2 grains and I seem to be doing well. I know it's a risk, but I thought about scaling back some, and then since I felt okay still I wanted to stay at 2 grains to see if I was still doing okay. I know it's only been a few days, but since I had been on synthroid for a few months, and taking the adrenal glandulars I decided to keep giving it a whirl at 2, then in a couple of weeks I will go up again. So, what about my blood work do you think would the doc I just fired two weeks ago would make the nitwit thing I was " fine, just a little overmedicated " ? Anyway....is there any particular brand of iron supplements that is better than the next? Generally speaking, multivitamins of any sort make me very sick to my stomach and it isn't long before they come right back up. I have been taking a B-Complex supplement for about a week though with no problem. Plus the thryoid pills, adrenal glandulars and while I was on an antibiotic for a sinus infection (from hell I might add) I was taking acidopholus, so it looks like I might just have to take supplements all separately in order to keep from getting sick? Heck, I'll try anything at this point. Looks like I will be paying a visit to my favorite health food store again today. I think I am their best customer these days. LOL! Thanks Janie!! Deb :-) loboshe wrote: > Ferritin 14 10-291 > Triiodothronine Free 2.1 2.3-4.2 Deb, what it says is that you have a miserably low Ferritin AND you are VERY hypo, and I can't believe you aren't MISERABLE!!!! ( Are you?? You need to get on iron supplementation tomorrow. And you need to be on Armour and work towards getting it optimized. Ferrous Sulfate is cheap, if you need to go that route. Get 325 mg. and try taking them 2-3 times a day, and with food if necessary. Questions?? Janie

Guest guest
Hi , I already ran far, far away from him. I fired him two weeks ago at my last appointment where I was basically told I didn't know what I was talking about when I said I felt so terrible. So bye bye paycheck. At least from me. Did I ever mention I hate doctors? I do give them a chance to do their jobs though and out GP and my allergist are wonderful women and I love them dearly. But everyone else seems like they got their medical license out of the back of a Rolling Stone magazine. LOL!! Have a great day!! Guest guest
Don't waste your money at a health food store for iron and as a matter of fact, they don't have a high enough dose. Gow to Sams Blub, Walgreens or Walmart. Ask for ferrous sulfate at a 325 mg and take it 3x a day. It should cost you less than 5 for 100 pills. > >Reply-To: NaturalThyroidHormones >To: NaturalThyroidHormones >Subject: Re: Re: Got my blood work back---need >help with it >Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 03:28:34 -0700 (PDT) > Looks like I will be paying a visit to my favorite health food store again today. LOL! > > Thanks Janie!! > > Deb :-) let me butt in here for a second: you say you take multivitamins...do these have any iodine in them (most do)? even the fatigued to fantastic multi formula recommended on shomon's site has 150mcg of iodine. that's way more than necessary or even good for a thyroid patient unless they are thyroid from an iodine deficiency. that could be making you nauseas. there are a couple of multis in pill form that don't have iodine in them. i haven't tried them but i've just learnt so much about iodine and avoiding it when you have hypo. b
