OK are we still in the United States of America - a republic or are

now in some communist country?!?!?!?!?!

Give me a break. We have no national health care. There are millions

with no insurance and their only choice is to pay out of pocket

(unless they can get on medicaid or some other aid program.)

I swear - we are becoming more communist/socialist all the time.

You've certainly got that right Louise. As Jan said, any letters or

influence of any sort to show that thousands, or even millions of people,

are standing on their heads about this, is going to make a difference. It

did with the state of California. Many of us, including me, are self

testing persons who have had no other choice but to go this route. I am

going to use the form letter, with a few changes, using every title that I

legally can (no illegal ones). We are ALL Thyroid Patient Advocates, in

every single way, so this one is good for starters. If all of us on these

groups don't band together, these bullies with $ signs in their eyes, will

have their way. This is where our networking is going to come in very

handy. Why not? All of THEM are certainly networking! Can ya see it?

Oh yes...we citizens who're educated should ban together & take a stand. That's

always been the way laws & political issues have been changed by " we the

people " . Especially as consumers. It's our dollars that go into their pockets.

We have the right to chose which pockets to fill where we get more bang for our

buck. Or more like " better quality life for our buck " .

I couldn't find anything about this on About Thyroid - I'm interested in

helping but need some guidance as to where to point my attack.

Self-ordered Testing.

Hi, All!

Dottye just posted this on About Thyroid. I hope we can all get behind her

and put some pressure on these turkeys. I have never had to use these

services myself, but I want them available for those who have no other

reasonable choice.

I will post the particulars as soon as Dottye gets them to me.

If you write letters, use any titles you may have. If don't have a title and

want one, I can give you one or more. I hereby proclaim every one of you to be a

Thyroid Patient Advocate. If you have sufficient chutzpah, you can be a Thyroid

Group Leader for your town or region. Thyroid Patient Educator?
