After reading all these welcome posts, I know I picked the right

group.

Now to answer a few questions :)

Well, a simple family intro seems to be in order. I'm Carla, my dh

is Kory, our 2 1/2 y/o wocf is Shay, and our 8 week old wcf is Dallas.

Right now we're kind of overwhelmed by everything. We haven't

started any kind of physio on Dallas yet. I think they're waiting

for us to adjust some before hitting us with all that.

Dallas's symptoms include the icky diapers (greased lightning ;) ),

tummy aches, poor weight gain, distended tummy, jaundice, lots of

gas, stuffy nose and an occasional cough, and of course, as salty as

a salt shaker.

Now we haven't been given a lot of info yet by the clinic, so we

wouldn't get overload, and I don't want to do a net search, due to

all the old info out there.

They said his weight should start slowly going up, but will his

distended tummy go away?

Since he has a stuffy nose all the time, and an occasional cough,

does that mean his lungs are really affected?

We go back to the clinic on the 22nd, but I'd like to get some

answers now, without all the scarey stuff.

We are lucky that we have relatives in the city that we can stay

with, but I couldn't impose on them to watch our older son while

we're at the hospital. We are from Manitoba and go the the CF clinic

at the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg.

Well I'm rambling..lol

Been a long day, but a really good one...hubby made it a very special

Mother's Day..one I was dreading, so I'm tired, but happy :)

I guess happiness won't elude me forever :)

Carla
