Guest guest
Meat, veggies, brown rice, I still eat baked potatoes with REAL butter on them salt and pepper, no sour cream. I love a rib eye steak with a potato and asparagus. Chicken breast with rice and green beans..there is a lot to eat. You just have to be able to cook! Rice pasta with spaghetti sauce...home made chicken tenders made with tapioca flour, Rice cake with almond butter, rice crackers, hamburger with no bun and fruit sweetened ketchup, french fries (not fast food ones!), rice cereal or I can tolerate oatmeal with walnuts sweetened with stevia, Scrambled eggs with bell peppers, Chicken salad made with canola mayonnaise, egg salad made with canola mayonnaise, grilled salmon with steamed broccoli, pork chops with cajun rice (not the boxed kind, make your own), home made soups or soups without preservatives, pork roast with baby carrots sweetened with stevia, I make a broccoli bacon salad with nitrate free bacon, canola mayo, broccoli, sunflower nuts, red onions and sweeten the mayo with stevia, my family eats it and does not know the difference. The canola mayo I buy does not have corn syrup in it like the other brands. They love it. There are many things to eat. Unfortunately our society has gotten away from home cooking and our freezers are filled with frozen entrees and food manufacturers have filled our foods with addictive corn syrup that turns to belly fat. I read every label of everything I buy. If it says corn syrup I put it back on the shelf. Canned soups have yeast extract in them....things you would not think are in products are! I had a problem with getting too thin too, you just have to eat more and I added the potatoes back in and apples and oranges. I did not have a reaction to them. I also snack on raw almonds. ALSO, I find that when I cook like this at home and eat this way as often as possible that it does not kill me to go out to a restaurant with friends occasionally. If my problems come back I just go strictly on the diet again for awhile. It is harder then just buying Mcs, but if it keeps heart disease, cancer and the itching and burning feeling away..it is WORTH IT. I am a firm believer that people should be eating this way anyway. My dad grew up on a farm and ate all REAL foods...not processed. He is 85, lucky and healthy! They now say that our kids may not live as long as us because of all of the processed foods, and the lack of exercise that they get. Eat real food not processed. I think that is the key. Keeping a food diary is also important what bothers one person may be ok for another. I can eat some wheat if I buy sugar and yeast free breads. It's yeast and corn syrup, natural flavors and msg that are my biggest enemies. If you are a vegetarian the diet can be a bit tougher.
