Guest guest
I am looking for a doctor near me who does this surgery......are there any recommendations.........I am 43, 5'10 " 330.....I was thinking last night why I really want this surgery.....I thought of many things I have always wanted to do as a teen through now....my thoughts were of learning how to ski...I am originally from MI and never went because I was heavy....what the heck I thought I would like to put on a bathing suit and not have everyone look disgustingly at me...like what nerve I have for putting on that suit...and learn how to water ski...again growing up I never got to learn...I was always the watcher on the back of the boat....I want to go to a water park and fit in....not be stared at.....I want to ride rollar coasters again....I barely squeezed into the seats as a teen....and with the new coasters I know I would never fit... and one of the main things I would like to do is go shopping at a regular store....I always tell my friends I do not like to shop....but they are thin...they are good friends......and I hate waiting in stores that I can not shop in...it just depresses me....oh well enough now....I love reading about the happiness of everyone and I hope I will be telling my happy ending to someone sometime.....thanks for listening..... in Greensboro, NC
Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the duodenalswitch world. created a fab website about this surgery and the resources at www.duodenalswitch.com You can look for surgeons there. Most of us have traveled to get the surgery... it isn't available in many places. So keep open to that possibility. If you have questions, ask. Your story sounds so much like those I've heard here. I think you have found a home here with other morbidly obese (MO) people. In time you will be posting about your ski trips, roller coaster rides and your new small clothing sizes. We share a lot here. If you find a DS doc you like (or several) you can join their smaller mail lists on e-groups.
