Guest guest
Lyssa, You might be going thruogh an ugly food thing right now, but you are NOT a failure. You are a bright, vibrant, intelligent, talented woman, who is a very successful WLS post op, and just just happens to be eating alot of carbs right now. Its ok, you are fine, dont beat yourself up about it, I talk from expereince of beating myself up recently, it doesnt help. Accept yourself wherever you are, this too will change. If it changed for me, it can and will change for anyone, Im as big a food addict as thery come. But dont let it get to you, dont let the guilt and shame in, a little fear is OK, but pack up the guilt and shame and send it down the River. Try some protein drinks with some favorite fresh fruit and crushed ice or sorbet, or add a bit of milk, soy milk or yogurt with the mushy fruits on botttom ;O (sorry , I probably should have warned you that was coming). I had a bad month too, gained back some weight, got a little humble, prayed alot, journaled alot, ate alot of jelly beans, hated myself, felt like a failure, and finallly just let go and accepted that the first real LOG TERM binge had happended... I prayed a little more and finally it stopped as mysteriously as it started...BUT... after I had gone back on protein drinks every morning. Hey Lyssa, weve had out differences, but you have been one of my role models, and I KNOW youll be ok. So...trust in it all, the food WILL fall back in place sweetie, this too will change. Be gentle with yourself, take a bubble bath, go buy as new outfit, some flowers, get a massage, buy a bgood book, what ever makes you feel good, you deserve it. And protein drinks, protein drinks, every morning... they saved my A**, really they did.... Right ? :)Adria
