Guest guest
Hey Becky, I'd get checked for Pelvic Inflammatory Disorder too... also take a look at this: http://www.askdrsears.com/html/8/t080300.asp SHARP pains in abdomen Hi, I may have written about this before, but I was wondering if anyone gets really bad, sharp lower abdominal pains, especially during their period? I was doubled over and in tears yesterday in misery. This is not vulvar pain, but almost like gas pains, or pain in the ovaries, or uterus, or something right above my public area on the sides. It's way different than cramps, which I have under control right now. This has happened almost every period since my second baby. Becky Never miss an email again!Yahoo! Guest guest
Molly, Becky's situation fits endometriosis better b/c of the description that she gave. That's why I told her that she needs to see if this is her problem. Endometriosis can cause sharp pains: meaning that it feels like ovulation except that it isn't. And it can happen at the period as well as other times in the cycle. I'm glad that you have benefited from PT hun. Guest guest
I never said that it didn't. I said for her to check out Dana's posts as she suffered from the same type of pain and yes, it too can get worse that time of the month. Thanks for setting me straight Molly Kristy Sokoloski wrote: Molly,Becky's situation fits endometriosis better b/c of thedescription that she gave. Guest guest
Thanks for the responses. I will research the psoas contracture. About the endometriosis, I thought about that. I actually had a laparoscopy in 2000 that was clean. I've had 2 babies since then. Would the endo develop in just 6 years? Thanks! Becky It's here! Guest guest
sure it could be. Have you been to a PT yet, Becky? Or even a really good myofascial release masseuse could tell you if either of these might be causing your pain. Sometimes they are called medical massage therapists. love, Molly Rosen wrote: maybe adhesions from a c-section? Re: SHARP pains in abdomen It sounds like a psoas contracture to me. Guest guest
Endo CAN develop in 6 years. Also, even with a lap, it is very hard to tell about endo. It is nice to have the confirmation, but some women have no symptoms and all sorts of implants from the endo, and some women have implants very difficult to see and horrible pain. Hopefully it'sn ot endo! Lindsey Want to start your own business? Learn how on Yahoo! Small Business.
