nerve blocks

My doctor keeps talking about nerve blocks for my clitoral pain but I

am hesitant to get them. We have tried neurontin and elavil and one

PT. I am going to see another PT this week but he said if this PT

doesn't work he'd like to try some nerve blocks. I was under the

impression that he himself would do them but that makes me nervous. I

am also nervous that it might cause more pain. Does anyone have any

opinions/experience with nerve blocks? I have not had an MRI, MRN, or

seen a neurologist and my doctor and last PT do not think i have PN.
