Guest guest
Hi, , There are A LOT of things that might be going on. First of all, like somebodymentioned earlier some docs think that even active yeast infections have negative cultures as much as 50% (See the V book by ). The "usual" yeast infection meds don't cure some of the more difficult species of yeast. Have you tried boric acid suppositories (try www.taoofherbs.com and their yeast arrest suppositories), which work on the more stubborn yeasts? Also, have you looked into pt (irritated muscles can itch), or topical estrogen? Lindsey Access over 1 million songs - Yahoo! Music Unlimited. Guest guest
Along with the more difficult yeasties, I believe that once the immune system of the vagina is disrupted, that it is very hard to repair. I also believe that it is really easy to become very sensitive to yeast. So where one woman would need 100 colonies to have a problem, I only need a few individuals. Long term therapy may help (I hope). I was on boric acid for almost 14 months. No side effects. Worth a try. It use to work for me, but I had other issues like pelvic muscle tension that came into play.

Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the tip...I really should try to change my diet. I definitely eat lots of sugar, but I've been doing this my entire life, so I don't know why it would suddenly change. HOw do I find out if this is caused by a neuropathic problem? Is there a test for this? > > > > Nerves can actually result in an itching sensation - often this is caused my > muscle spasms or irritation. Guest guest
HI Dawn, Funny because Dr. Peacocke just put me on boric acid. You were on it for 14 months??? I am scared of it- isn't it pretty toxic? I'm supposed to use it 3x week for 3 months. I've only been on it 3 weeks and it seemed to help a little bit, but I'm not sure. I definitely think my system has been disrupted- all of my problems began after I was treated for trich and some idiot doctors put me on ridiculous amounts of anti-biotics. Ever since, everything has been a mess. HOpefully, the boric acid will help. Thanks for your response. -lisa > > Along with the more difficult yeasties, I believe that once the immune > system of the vagina is disrupted, that it is very hard to repair. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for your response. I am actually on boric acid- just started 3 weeks ago. So far, it seems to help a little bit, but we'll see. What is PT? -lisa > > Hi, , > There are A LOT of things that might be going on. Guest guest
, Boric acid is only toxic if you take it internally. That's why it's used in ant bait.
