Amber, My dr. says no caffeine or carbonated beverages. Most of his

patients that I know pay no attention. I drink my daily cup or 2 of tea, but

that's about it. Ellen

We don't have caffeine the first 30 days (to protect against ulcer/irritation).

We don't use caffeine when we take iron. (1 hour). We were to avoid

carbonation for the first 30 days. Now, I hear they forbid them for life.

NOW I stay away from them because of the osteoporosis. Kinda wish I'd known a

whole lot sooner about the bones-caffeine-carbonation connection.

Depends on who you're asking. If you're asking my urologist, no coffee, no tea,

no decaf, no FUN. Or my dentist. Because of the ACID in 'em, which is also no

help to your bones.

So. This is as bad as the water rule, isn't it? But there it is. I do drink a

very rare cup of coffee, but what fun is THAT without the cig to go with it!?
