Guest guest
Hi Jerry. Carol certainly gave you a wonderful reply. Not knowing what your brother's problem is, be it the inability or go or control the urine, I can only add that a urologist can be especially helpful if it is bladder retention. My husband suffered from this, and, as Carol mentioned, he was initially advised to self-catharize. Unfortunately, he was not willing to do this and so we had many trips to ER to have his bladder emptied. If your brother is able to self-catharize, it will be a great aid to his overall health. It's not difficult; both and I were " trained " in our urologist's office. But for whatever reason, mostly because of 's stubborness, we did not have success with this. It's pretty quick, simple and painless....but men (especially young men, john was in his 40's) tend to be very protective of that 'area' and conjure up these images as to what is acceptable and what is not. decided this WAS NOT, and the result was many infections and ER runs. I hope your brother has an easier time of dealing with this problem, which is, as Carol mentioned, all related to the two muscles involved. regards, kaye
