Guest guest
Hi Lindsey, Thanks for the encouragement. It's been so long since I didn't feel pain. Also, I am 24 and single, and I feel like my hopes for a husband and family are slipping away. Right now I am on 50 mg amitriptiline and 2400 Neurontin. Both have seemed to help a bit. How long did it take to go away for you? I still haven't tried lidocaine and botox. My doctor says I have no spasm, which is good.... I dunno. I just needed to hear that it ends. I don't think I can life the rest of my life like this. Lindsey wrote: YES YES YES. It goes away. Mine is almost completely gone but I stick around...so does Molly and . Have you tried neurontin? Amytriptiline? Physical therapy? From what I hear from my pain management doc, pt, and vulvar specialist (Dr. Metzger) surgery isn't the end. Women often still have to do additional things to get rid of the pain. Don't stop trying until you get complete relief, I KNOW that you will. Lindsey Looking for earth-friendly autos? Guest guest
, I know what you mean, I'm 22 and single and there are often days that I feel that I will never have a family. But I strongly believe there's a reason for our pain and we just have to figure it out. Lots of times it is a vicious cycle and figuring it out is very difficult with many different doctors and medicines, which of course can take a very long time. But there are lots of success stories out there. What kind of pain do you have? Coons wrote: Hi Lindsey, Thanks for the encouragement. It's been so long since I didn't feel pain. Guest guest
Hi , I have pain all the time... The Neurontin took away my shooting pains, though. Those were debilitating, but infrequent (2-3 times a day). Before my vestibulectomy, the pain was an intense burning. Post-surgery, my pain is almost like extreme soreness, but still always noticeable. I don't know what to do. Even topical lidocaine, which a new doctor I'm going to says always works, is having little effect beyond the 15 minutes I am using it. But this guy told me this never goes away without treatment, but the doctor that did my surgery says it does go away eventually, although it can take years. I guess I just needed to hear from someone who had similar symptoms to mine who had their pain eventually go away. Thanks for your response. I hope you find relief!
