Guest guest
T hanks, nne, for all of this info! I appreciate it. in Va. HI , My top doc here told me to take 200-4000mg magnesium per day up to bowel tolerance. You also really have to read the labels. Sometimes there are 2 numbers of mgs of magnesium on the label. The lower number is the real amount of magnesium per serving. I wasn't getting nearly the amount I thought I was when I looked at this. For example my magnesium glycinate powder says each serving contains 997 mg magnesium glycinate, supplying magnesium 182 mg. huge difference in the numbers. Magnesium oxide is supposed to have the most laxative effect from what I have read. nne

Guest guest
Hi, Yes, I have. My gastroenterologist suggested oat bran. It didn't really do much. I haven't used the flax seed enough to tell. But Fiberblend worked well. (I bought it from www.hacres.com). However, it has herbs in it and it's suggested not to take it for an extended period of time. It works very well as long as I take it. But when I stop, the problem returns. Thanks! in Va. Have you tried oat bran & /or ground flax seed for constipation? I've had great luck with those for years now. ----- Original Message -----
