Hi Arline. Trust me, I have lost faith in doctors as it is. I have been misled by sooooo many it is frightening. When I first became sick which was like over three years ago, it started with a virus I caught ( a bad cold virus). At that time my whole throat became inflammed and my esophagus. I got this severe burning in my throat at the time which was the worst pain I think I ever felt in my life.I was put on a course of steroids that helped it alot, but all the burning never went away completely. It lasted for a year and half straight with no relief. I prayed I would die at some points becuase the pain was that bad. Then after a year and half it got a little better. Now it is coming back though. I am not sure if it is because of a med or because I had to cut back on my stomach med which for some reason helped

it. To make a long story short, I was shuffled here and there, went through countless tests and they had no clue what was causing this. I really believe it is the immune system causing all of this. I actually went on the gluten free/ sugar free diet a couple years ago, and trust me, I was very motivated by all the pain I was in. I was willing to do anything at that point.Still am actually. My holistic doctor that I was seeing back then had me on this diet. I ate only fresh vegis and plain meats(chicken or fish usually), and everything was organic. I was hoping this would help the throat burning thinking maybe it was an allergy to something. Well, no such luck there. I even had allergy testing to see if I was allergic to certain foods, and nothing came up. I think something went wrong it the brain

that controls the pain signals or something. That is what nerve pain is really. It is the brain sending false signals creating the pain. I have no clue what had caused all this bladder/urethra, BV stuff though. I think I probably had the BV for a few months now since I started having the burning in the vagina and bladder problems since 7 months ago. Also my periods are all screwed up. I think there is a possibility that the imflammed bladder and urethra could be because of the BV, or the same bacteria. I cant take the oral meds to treat this(flagyl, and I am allergic to clidamycin) though because I am to sensitive to the meds and have all kinds of side affects so I have no idea how I am going to get rid of this.My doc wants me to try the gel form of the flagyl(metrogel). I guess I will try it, but I am leary of having side affects since I had them with the oral form. I agree with you about there probably being one thing that is causing my body to react this way. I have narrowed it down to maybe being my immune system causing all this, or maybe a hidden allergy, though I am not sure. Either way, if it is the immune system, then what is causing the immune system to go awry. I am thinking about getting the test for gluten sensitivity. I just hate to spend over $100 bucks and in the end still have no answers as that seems to be the norm for me lately. I may first try the diet and see what happens. I mean even if the test shows that I am gluten sensitive, diet is the only answer as there are no meds to help with celiacs or gluten sensitivity. I am also sure that even if my test came back showing a gluten sensitivity, no doctor will buy it as they believe that their

tests are the reliable ones, you know how that goes. Anyhow, thanks for all the info, I really appreciate it. Jen BABB wrote: I also talked with my gastroenterologist about thepossibility of celiacs disease, but his answer wasthat the biggest symptom of this would be diareaha, and this I never have.He is wrong. It depends where the body is attacked. Ifit attacks the nerves you would have constipation. Ifit attacks the small intestine you would likely havediarrhea. The truth is you don't have to have eithersymptom. You can have this thing all your life withlittle or no symptoms and then your pancreas mighthemmorhage, thyroid die, destruction of some part ofyour intestines, terrible nerve pain, osteoporosis, etc. The doc is wrong. Very wrong. As I said, most ofthem haven't a clue about this

either. You can't just "do a gluten free diet". It iscomplicated and requires a lot of study to know whatyou are doing. One must remember that Celiac and Gluten Sensitivityare different. The docs don't know much about either. As I said the blood work isn't accurate and doesn'ttest for gluten sensitivity at all.Unless you are tested, you won't have the motivationto do the very complex diet.Gluten Sensitivity messes up the intestines and causesan imbalance in the bacteria which then migrates tothe vagina.I am afraid the testing is my best shot. Otherwise youwill go from treatment to treatment and doctor todoctor with this business. I hope I am wrong and youquickly find a way to clear up this bacterialinfection and live happily and healthily forever afterby taking all the pills and treatments. There is muchmore wrong with you than a bacterial infection. Idon't believe you have

so many different things wrongwith you but probably one thing that causes it all.People go for years with reoccurring vaginal bacterialinfections sometimes. I think you have to heal the gutbefore they really go away permanently.Hopefully you will have success..Arline--- Tesinsky <wakko711> wrote:> Hi Arline.> Thanks again for replying.
