At first I had hot flashes but the lasted for about a year and stopped. Still menustrating but nothing that you can set a calendar by, so I didn't know that I was in menopause until last week. Arimidex is only approved to be given to postmenopausal women. Either things have changed or maybe you need to have a talk with your doc and maybe get a second opinion on this one. He said I would have to have shots to shut down my ovaries if I wasn’t. Chemo, however, did the trick so I qualified for the drug. Which, like , chemo took care of. I've read that not only should you NOT take it if you are still getting periods, but that it may be harmful if you still are. I'd ask about that one.
