Guest guest
I would do a search for Levoxyl and find the manufacturers website. When there you want to look for the prescribing information which will usually be a PDF file. My understanding is that because thyroid hormones are replacing what your body can't make they are safe for mother and child and in some cases it could be life threatening if stopped. If you go to the thyroid section of about.com they have had some recent news stories about thyroid hormones and pregnancy and how important it is to get blood tests more frequently. Hope this helps a little. Louise > My partner has been taking Levoxyl for 5 years. Guest guest
There are many good links on Hypothyroidism and Pregnancy. Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism can cause birth defects or miscarriage. Lab values should be done before and during the pregnancies and adjusted accordingly. A doctor needs to know what he/she is doing, in order to accomplish the right objectives. Levoxyl and Pregnancy > My partner has been taking Levoxyl for 5 years.
