Hi, Tricia -

We didn't notice anything immediately but we have noticed a bit less

attentiveness. However, it could be that Josh was getting sick (almost had to

hospitalize him last weekend - cold went down into lungs and he had a severe

asthma attack - our wonderful doc saw him at his office on Sunday rather than

going to hospital - we should have taken him to ER - doc said he was in severe

respiratory distress but doc took care of him for a few hours in his office and

gave us tons of meds to take home - if we had gone to hospital, the IV and

oxygen mask ordeal would have likely aggravated the attack even more!). In the

past week or so, both teachers and we have noticed a huge surge in his activity

(since he's been feeling better), a gentleness that had gone away after stopping

the carnaware is back, he is immitating words and make more word approximations,

he's observing much more around him - was very observant of all the holiday

decorations and that kind of stuff that, in the past, he

hadn't been. So, we haven't gone back on the carnaware either and don't know

that we will - something we'll decide once the new year starts.
