Guest guest
I was thinking about it. I have a product called oxy powder and have used it in the past for cleansing. I was going to do it tonight but I wound up taking percocets. Oxy powder is a seven day cleanse and it REALLY cleans you out. I tried it once when my VV began and it didnt do anything to help the pain for me, but, I also did not do it for more than one day, so I am toying with the idea of doing it for a longer period of time. But I am so paranoid, I wonder if it might make the pain worse? I also am curious to know if anyone has used a cleanse or irrigation for VV? > > Someone mentioned natural meds. Has anyone tried a product called " First Cleanse? " There is also a product by the same company called " Advanced Cleanse. " > I read some things that convinced me killing off all parasites might be a great idea and might be tied in with all of the vulvar pain and auto-immune disorders. I read somewhere that 90% of all people in the world carry around at least one parasite and most are unaware. These include things like roundworms, pinworms, tapeworms (yikes!), flatworms, protozoa, etc. From what I'm reading an infection with some of these parasites can cause the nerve pain, tingling and numbness, inflammation and other things. I figured doing a whole body cleanse couldn't hurt and might help and who knows? Just wondering if anyone else had tried that. > > >
Guest guest
That's interesting, I'd never heard of Oxy Power but I looked it up on the internet... it says, "Oxy-Powder®'s unique combination of oxygenated magnesium, germanium (which helps oxygenate the magnesium) and citric acid". It sounds safe. I'd say the magnesium and germanium probably wouldn't hurt but I'm not sure about the citric acid... that could aggravate the vulvodynia but maybe it won't. I have interstitial cystitis so sometimes citric acid bothers my bladder but I think the verdict is still out on whether the acidic foods contribute to the vulvar pain. I think some people have had good results staying away from acidic foods. That has to do with the Ph balance, I think. I think it depends too on whether you have yeast or molds or parasites like roundworms, pinworms, bacteria, viruses, as to which things would work best to cleanse you. I've had a lot of digestive type of problems, too, and food allergies and intolerances, etc. I bought some black walnut hull because I heard it was really good.. http://www.herbalremedies.com/blacwalhulgr.html Also, I'm taking the samento daily which boosts your immune system in general to fight off things... http://www.samento.com.ec/sciencelib/4sam/whatissamento.html and I just ordered some pumpkin seeds to try. I figured none of those things would aggravate the VV. and two other things I'm hearing a lot about are the grapefruit seed extract which some folks on the list are taking for lyme but also has other uses, the lady in the health food store told me it was for killing off yeast... http://www.pureliquidgold.com/ Pumpkin seeds I just heard about but the word is it's effective for an internal parasite cleanse... http://www.ageless.co.za/herb-pumpkin-seed.htm And wormwood, which I'm leery of just because taken in large quantities it can have a hallucinogenic effect but in smaller doses they say it's safe, I'm not so sure... http://altmedicine.about.com/cs/conditionsitoq/a/Parasites_2.htm I did see a bottle of cleansing herbs at the health food store that contained small amounts of all of the herbal remedies above in on capsule. Guest guest
Very interesting reply, thank you. I was told eating a bit of ginger several times a week is also helpful for pain? I also have had IBS (with constipation, not diarheaa) and my stomach swells a lot after eating or drinking anything, for over 2 years (before this all began). I found the oxypowder very beneficial for constipation, but it generally removed everything you ingest over 7 days it seems. One thing to factor in is that you may become dehydrated when using bowel cleansers and that might increase pain in the vestibule? I might be wrong about that but that thought just occured to me. > > > > Someone mentioned natural meds. Has anyone tried a product called > " First Cleanse?
