It's about #14 on the bioavilability list for people with stomachs, but at least it's on there! I think we can add these to the basic food groups. Shall we add the oil to the food group or the beverage group?

Guest guest
OK , Here goes #1 carbs - to include bread, pasta, bagels, and chips 2. butter - the real thing 3. chewy candy - caramels, starburst and occasional tootsie roll 4. chocolate (sorry , but #4 is better than off my list) And of course, ANY liquid should count toward water - caffeinated or not - especially coffee. With this list, a Starbuck's caffe mocha would really rank! Carolyn Re: vote new rules >Where is De when we need her to tabulate all this? > >Looks like chocolate is still #1, with butter being #2. However, butter as the entree, well this I understand! Chewy candy and Smartees, huh? How did I get to be such a roly poly girl without some of this stuff? As I said, I never was much of a sweet eater before surgery. And I even liked salads and raw & steamed veggies---nekkid. What the heck are Smartees--are these like Sweet Tarts? EWWWW! Guest guest
Swallow then IMMEDIATE lightheadedness. No, thank you, I think > I'll pass on the alcohol! , I have similar reactions to alcohol - I can order a drink - after 1 or 2 sips I feel slightly drunk - wait about 15 minutes I feel sober - take another sip and I'm back to slightly drunk! This is like being on a roller coaster - which I have never enjoyed, so I choose not to drink. I have also discovered that the drinks I most enjoyed pre-op are still great as " virgins " (No booze) a strawberry margarita, Caesar, and long island ice tea still can be enjoyed without the alcohol (they charge the same price, however, and that kind of ticks me off as most of the price of a drink covers the cost of the booze - not the mix- oh well I guess I can't have it all!) Guest guest
Ok, as I munch on my blueberry bagel, what is the " flavor of the month for the gentiles " part?? Haven't you heard of all the good things that blueberries do for you? Some sort of miracle substance if you believe any of the hype. Me, I just like 'em. Never tried the blueberry cream cheese. Try to only add one helping of fat with the butter. So, does this need to be one food group or two? Blessings!
