Guest guest Posted April 16, 2009 Report Share Posted April 16, 2009 I was told the surgery will make me loose weight and the type of surgery I am to have ileocolectomy including half of my transverse colon and about a foot of small bowel will have me loosing weight for a while. I lost quite a bit of weight from my stay in Israel. I am now back up to about 115 pounds and staying there. I was 125 before I left for Israel. In Israel I must of lost at least 25 pounds in a very short amount of time. I am so happy I was festively plump. I am very short 5 feet or 5'1 so I am at a good weight now. I don't like being too skinny as this worries me. Has anyone had to worry about this with surgery?
