Guest guest
Okay. I'm a little late on the discussion about narcotics. I am under the influence of one right now, so hopefully I am making sense. Anywhoo, I just had surgery on both feet, so I am on generic forms of Percocet and Darvocet. Once I got past the nausea and general itchiness it causes my body, I found that I was extremely aroused. I have vestibulitis, so sex has always been very painful for me. Get this: my husband and I had sex 3 TIMES in one day and 2 TIMES the next. Little to no pain! I feel like a different woman!!!! Even with a chronic pain condition, I will say that I definitely feel a sort of "high" from these drugs. I've never used pot or been drunk in my life, so I have nothing to compare it to, but this is a "feel good" warmness...like a sense of well-being. I can see why people would become addicted. Did anyone say they had been using narcotics specifically for V pain? Cuz it's worked pretty well for that, though I couldn't see being on it all the time. Too woozy and out-of-it. Guest guest
Yes, I have success with percocet but narcotics only mask the pain for about 4-6 hours. Please be very careful when taking them as you can become chemically addicted rapidly, there have been reports of addiction occuring in as little as one week. I also have never drunk/done drugs. I was given percocets in ER for VV, because I was screaming in agony during the exam. YOu may find it very difficult to get it prescribed again for vulvodynia related disorders by many doctors. I asked one for a new prescription and he looked at me like I was a junkie. Very little sympathy. My guidelines are to take every 4-6 hours 1-2 pills. But I take two pills maybe twice a week, tops, as to avoid addiction. As with any other narcotic, eventually, addiction aside, you WILL plateau, and require something stronger. Be very cautious with percocets, but yes, I agree, in terms of a temporary band-aid effect on pain for VV, they are gold. > > Okay. I'm a little late on the discussion about narcotics.
