14cm fibroid candidate for UAE?

One 14 cm pedunculated fibroid on left side of abdomen & may have a

small one underneath. Cervix & ovaries are fine. Pressure on bladder

which causes frequent bathroom breaks. Doctor advised I'm a good

candidate for a UAE & would refer me to an IR. I want to have

children, therefore, doctor indicated myo. Doctor advised myo's incur

major blood loss during surgery & would like me to take Lupron for 3

months before surgery. I suffer from PMS & doctor advised Lupron is

great for PMS suffers. Hmmmm??? I dunno. Not heard many good things

about Lupron.

This doctor is suppose to be one the best but indicated the blood

loss during a myo scared me. If you're skilled, there shouldn't be

major blood loss. Doctor also indicated the risk of bowel problems

(being nicked during the myo). How scary! \

Please advise if any of you have had a UAE with a 14cm fibroid or

larger?

If you had a doctor who said there's major blood loss during a myo

AND! wants you to take Lupron to shrink before surgery, would you

seek another opinion? Doctor also advised I'd have a vertical

incision. I'm ready to have this alien out of my stomach, but

hearing " major blood loss " & wanting me to take Lupron has me scared.

I'm not afraid to have surgery, but Lupron & the blood loss are

scary.

Can anyone help me on this.
