It had columns by Cassidy and Donny Osmond (or was that Jackie magazine?) Yes I did like him but it waned....I was a bit struck on (the late) Connolly of The Sweet, such a lovely pageboy haircut. Hey, we could have a fab party if we invited all our shared heroes! Barbara
Guest guest
I was a Jackie girl myself! Had the 3 part Jackie poster of Cassidy on my bedroom door, resplendent in denim shirt, jeans and furry boots! Shared room with little sister at the time (9 years age difference) and she used to undress behind the wardrobe door so couldn't see her!! > > I wonder...Did you used to get Fab 208 Magazine....? Guest guest
This is really getting me going. I had Cassidy on my ceiling above the bed, and cried when Pete Duel died then somewhere along the line went haywire and discovered Zepplin, Bowie and Alice much to my parents distress. Off to find out my No.1's Caroline Jersey Sore feet from dancing till 2.00am this morning and feeling rather frayed around the edges > > I was a Jackie girl myself! Guest guest
Crikey, this was an interesting one. I used to keep really up to date with music and now I've really let it slip! My No. 1's are: My birthday (19/02/80) Coward of the Country by Kenny DH's birthday (25/04/77) Knowing Me, Knowing You by Abba When we got together (15/08/99) WHen You Say NOthing at All by Ronan Keating (very appropriate since he asked me out by text message!!) When baby was concieved (17/07/00) Life is A Roller Coaster by Ronan Keating (again, appropriate) Our Wedding Day (14/10/00) Black Coffee by All Saints I think I may get addicted to that site!! They had to close it down earlier in the year when the link was posted on some mailing lists and the site got overloaded! Rick Wakeman has done some excellent small-venue tours in the recent past - he is a very good raconteur. Sadly I think he lost a lot of money last tour (by being let down by some venues, IIRC, not through bad ticket sales) so he`s not planning more ( is in the fan club!)
