Thanks - the only trouble with getting tte to use any kinds of

sprays is that she hates the smells of things...perfume, shampoos, hairspray

etc..so I would probably have to try and make sure she is washed down

everyday...I have not noticed any breast buds or pubic hair..so maybe this

is just something else..I will certainly bring this to our endro attention..

Thanks

PS when is na's birthday - tte is just about the same age as

na.

I am not a doctor, so I don't want to say whether or not it definitely is a

sign. My parental guess is that, yes, it is a sign. But it can take years

for puberty to actually occur. Discuss it with your doctor when you see

him/her.

As for the heels hurting, well, I don't know about that. Let me know what

the ortho. says, okay?

Hi -

I haven't read any other posts yet, but my daughter had/has body odor. Very

strong. The endo ordered blood tests for early puberty, so far not yet.

Basically, they gave it a big medical name, I can't remember the exact term,

which means premature body odor.

We just make sure she bathes every night and wears her deodorant. Talk about

addressing issues early on.

Good luck -

Passaglia

Glad to hear I am not alone...Is this just one more crazy hurdle these poor

kids have to go thru...I feel bad because I am always making sure she doesnt

smell.. Today she told me to stop smelling her because it was rude..I guess

she is right..

Thanks again to all for the support that this site gives to all.

Hi

Just so you don't think I totally lost my mind, I did finally get in touch with

my sister. I

have 2 sisters, one I get along with great, and one....well not so great. This

is the not so

great one.

Anyway, she asked me this question about her daughter just before Christmas.

Yet, I have

just discovered she has yet to take her to the doctor's. She said she will

around April!!

Well, she certainly is not one of " us " who have everything checked out

immediately and then

double checked by someone else!!! But, mind you, I am not surprised with " this

sister " .

To give her some credit, her 7 year old daughter has some kind of " thing " about

doctor

offices and the minute she steps into one, she faints dead away. Her grade 1

class showed a

movie about doctors and nurses last year, and she got this panic call to come

and get Sam

because she had passed out and they didn't know why. She flies over and after

much

discussion finds out it was the video!!! So she is reluctant to go for non

medical

emergencies.

Personally, if she may be looking at early puberty I don't think it is something

she should

" wait out " but she doesn't take too kindly to my advice either!!!

She did tell me that since she started using deodorant soap and having Sam

shower every

morning she isn't noticing the smell at all anymore. As I mentioned back around

Christmas

time when I asked the group about this for her, I think it may have to do with

stress in the

little thing. She never speaks, blends into walls as her 1 year old brother is

the centre of

the universe in their household. She is ignored completely. Her first communion

was earlier

this month and we never heard one thing about her, just !! So I made a fuss

about her

dress etc. so the poor kid felt at least some attention and my mom clued in, and

joined me.

But her own mother and father?? Forget it. Sad eh? So, in her situation, I

wouldn't doubt it

was more stress related (the smelling I mean).

Anyway, I did tell her you were wondering and if she ever gets to a doctor would

she mind

letting me know and then I'll give you a note.

Sorry for taking so long. But she is a strange bird (I think my parents found

her in a

cabbage patch or something!!!! LOL)
