Guest guest
I read the e-mail from and have to say that my personal experience is quite different. I have many HUGE fibroids. And having a penis inside hurts because it presses, but as for the intensity of my orgasms-Yo Mama! They have improved!!!!!!!!!!! Intense, multiple and come more easily and frequently. So, should we do a survey of how our orgasms are effected by our fibroids. Again, remove the issue of protruding belly, painful intercourse, etc. Just the BING factor-better tested when alone. Also, , I agree about the testosterone. It may have you wanting more sex, but I don't think it has anything to do with how your orgasms would feel. Guest guest
Initially I was hesistant to reply to this posting but since Faryl did I don't feel so self-conscious...lol. I too have found the same thing to be true. Truly unbelievable and earth-shattering...omg...did I say that? But I really thought it had more to do with the infrequency of sex, you know with all the long days spent bleeding etc. (I've always thought sex and menstruation just don't go together very pleasantly but that's just me.) Now thanks to Faryl I seem to know why orgasms are so much more intense now. Rhonda
Guest guest
Lydia--I just love your language! The BING-factor? Classic! I agree with you that fibroids have intensified my uterine sensitivity and I posted a study on the list a couple of months ago that suggests that women with fibroids have more uterine orgasms or at least have more uterine sensitivity during orgasm. After all, fibroids are uterine muscle, so if the uterine is contracting during orgasm, perhaps the fibroids are as well. Fascinating. Guest guest
Rhonda et al--Yes, Rhonda, you said that you have " truly unbelievable and earth-shattering " orgasms. Now we all know the truth about you! You like sex! Yup, the cat is out of the bag. I'm really interested in knowing why women are so hesitant to discuss their sexuality. I must be truly aberrant, because I have never been shy about discussing sex. Shoulda been a sex therapist. You know, intercourse during a Menstrual Monsoon (MM--ooh, I like that!) might be a bit messy (then again, where there's a will there's plastic sheeting), but ORGASM is NOT DEPENDENT on intercourse. I find that I want/need orgasm even more acutely when I'm bleeding--it really helps the cramping and the congested feeling, and I also think it may move the blood out faster so that I don't bleed for days and days. Sometimes I just say to my husband " Honey, I'm going into the bedroom to give myself an orgasm, not interested in being sexual with you right now, just need to have an orgasm. So, uh, don't bother me for a little while. " True, sometimes he begs to be allowed in on the fun and sometimes I take pity on him and let him, but frequently I'd rather just...cut to the chase...and I must say, I've got it down after all these years. I highly recommend self-administered orgasm anytime, but especially during menstruation. I imagine I've shocked and insulted some women on this list, and I wish I were sorry, but I'm not. I wish more women would help me break down these barriers to honest talk about our sexual experiences/feelings/lives. BTW, let me take this opportunity to remind people that I posted a fascinating article about a week ago about a 70 year-old woman living in Berkeley (of course!) who decided that she wanted to have alot of sex with alot of different men before she died. She took out a personals ad and had/is having ALOT of sex with ALOT of men, and wrote a book about it. Her name is Jane Juska, and her book is titled " A Round-Heeled Woman: My Late-Life Adventures in Sex and Romance " --or something close to that. Okay, EOL! Guest guest
Faryl, omg the cat is out of the bag!!! LOL But seriously, you are right, most of us are sexually repressed as far as discussing sex. I guess I was thinking the women here would think I was nutty for discussing orgasms but you blazed the trail for me!

Guest guest
aryl, Rhonda et al., Faryl, if you think you are truly aberrant... you are not alone. >I wish more women would help me break down these barriers to honest talk >about our sexual experiences/feelings/lives. I agree, Faryl... I also believe that it's because of these barriers that men have been able to get away with so much bullshit that is keeping women from " awakening " . The " BING " in my case, might be called a " binge " of BINGs... About five years ago, I participated in a survey in a popular magazine about masturbation. I was really surprised that there weren't more people like me (yes, unashamedly so fond of " Holy Trinity " orgasms that I regularly masturbate... *very* regularly). While masturbation is a private intimate act, I don't realy understand why it is considered so shameful. I consider it a natural bodily function and wish the true role of orgasms in a person's health/wellbeing was known, rather than the taboo-riddled myths we're presented with. Because the taboos seem to have influenced the results of the survey too... the survey was disappointingly slanted towards the opinion that " hardly anyone masturbates frequently, and if you do you are either oversexed or you have a problem " ... as if wanting to masturbate is a sign of not being able to have happy " normal " sex... But people don't want to talk about it, and seem to confuse masturbation with completely separate and intependent phenomena, like relationships and intercourse. Or religious beliefs. (I hope I'm not offending anyone now...) Anyway, according to the survey I seem to do this abnormally often, more than the average male in his twenties let alone the average female. The reason is that I like good orgasms. So sue me! ...LOL. Boyfriends do add a wholly separate and wonderful dimension to sex, but I wouldn't want to be denied a good orgasm in the long periods that there is no other human being around to have an intimate relationship with, or someone who is not completely compatible. You see, to me " love " and " intimacy " and " lovemaking " are wonderful... it would be spectacularly wonderful if these intimate moments also yield good orgasms, but alas, they rarely do. I've also noticed that I'm more " responsive " during my period than at other times -- orgasms are very good specially then. Isn't it a crying shame that it seems to turn men off... all that icky blood... and that while it's a perfectly normal thing for animals to get turned on by a bitch in heat! ....aren't men supposed to be animals? ... lol. Guest guest
My anatomy professor told the class that ags ago the human female also became fertile during her period like the other animals and for some reason that changed; obviously a survival mechanism. Guest guest
Just for the record here re: SEX and blood.... It doesn't turn my honey off...actually sometimes I think he behaves more like an animal during that time...lol...actually I am sure of it. ~wink~ I don't mind if he doesn't mind and it sure does help with the cramping and the pain. What better way to relieve stress and anxiety too??? I am not ashamed of it and think that everyone should try it if they haven't already. We both want to shower afterwards anyhow so what's the difference? I also find that I am more in the " mood " for just about anything during my cycle. All of those emotions during PMS....come on....what better way to let it all out??? =o) Anyhow, I have to admit, I am a lot like Effie...Anytime is a good time....lol....if my honey's there...great! If not...too bad for him! One things for sure, all of this " post myo pelvic rest " is just about driving me crazy!! Oh boy, wait till I get the green light...hahaha.... Have a wonderful night ladies...I think I will go take a cold shower now....lolol.....just joking! ***Glitter***

Guest guest
All of this orgasm talk is certainly bringing me out of the closet... I wonder if any of you other ladies have had this experience... When I get close to, er, binging :-) if I don't make it all the way, it sets off these horrible cramps that make me nauseous. Mind you, if I make it, the world is a beautiful place... but dang it can be tricky some days... anyone else out there with this oddness?
