Corn Starch and Bacon / Prosciutto

I recently contacted Organic Prairie to see if they used cornstarch in

packaging their otherwise legal hams and bacon. The answer was yes.

This got me to thinking, how many other brands of bacon use cornstarch

in packaging? What about proscietto? It's all sliced, which makes me

think they might use cornstarch as an anti-sticking agent too.

I recently bought some Gwaltney bacon to try next month, but now am

unsure that I want to. What do you guys think?
