Guest guest
No, I don't know if there is a connection between marijuana and hives but there are some days I wouldn't mind the experiment! Guest guest
Here's the way I see it: For a couple of us, CU could be caused by marijuana. For a couple of others, vaccines might be the cause. There might even be one or two of us who are actually allergic to something and just haven't figured out what it is. We do know for certain that in at least some cases it is caused by infections (dental seems to be the biggest culprit). And in too many of us, the best Dx we can get is " autoimmune. " SOMETHING out there initially triggered each and every one of us, but I don't think finding that initial trigger will necessarily help, with the possible exception of infection (since they can be treated). I think the " triggers " screwed something up within our bodies, causing some sort of genetic or chemical or molecular change perhaps, or maybe we were even born pre-disposed to have this. There are so many variables to consider when trying to figure this thing out. Okay, so I smoked pot as a teen; did that cause this? Or what about that time I had a mild sun stroke? Or from getting sunburned that one time? Or from chemicals in the food or water? Or maybe it started because I had chicken pox. Or maybe there's aliens out there and they kidnapped me and stuck an implant up my nose (I read that's what they do) and that's what is causing it..... See what I mean? - you can go crazy trying to figure this out. I've been at this for over 13 years now, reading all I can about the immune system and allergies and urticaria and autoimmunity, asking questions, thinking about stuff, and some days I just want to scream - I feel like I'm no closer to definitive answers now than I was the day it started. But at least I'm smarter. Anyhow, that's my take on it....
