Guest guest
Dear Marilyn, Where are you in TN? What is hubby's dx and current symptoms? We are on a seemingly endless 3 hour turning, choking, wound dressing, head and bottom patting no sleep schedule and to avoid grazing thru all the junk food in the house I'm trying to stay awake playing with this exacting and frustrating machine. One of these days or nights I may even locate and try to read the instructions, When we first got it--Compaq / windows --it was programmed to get mail and I could reply to sender. Lightning fried it and repairs complicated use. Cyberspace must be full of misplaced stuff, and I still don't understand where deletes go. cbt.net says SDS generates more mail than all the businesses in Springhill and they turn off the spigot and sewer everything if I don't get rid of it daily. If accepts puter-tutoring as a sub mission I'll wait on line. Meanwhile , Barb Selleck helps me lots and is wonderful and Pam can find and make anything easy to access. Trouble is, med speak is a foreign language and mine is a teensy pocket dictionary. Love. Doesn't make me any bigger or stronger or a better engineer or therapist. Helps with patience and perseverance, but it is the day to day hints for coping and managing that keeps me going. Do the " stories " help you? Bill's " make it to order " plans are great! Laundry beckons and it is Jan's watering time. Abby normal's brain mean anything to you? Night, morning, bye. LA Louise in Springhill where the sun will shine and the temp will be 74 today. Guest guest
Greetings Louise! You noted: > If accepts puter-tutoring as a sub mission > I'll wait on line. LOL! Right behind my wife, my mother-in-law, my father, my mother ... ;-) Actually, if folks want, I might do a 'how to' on a periodic basis. Nothing fancy, more a 'how did I do that' when I put stuff together. > Meanwhile, Barb Selleck helps me lots and is > wonderful and Pam can find and make anything > easy to access. And that's the real benefit of a support group. It's not just about MSA. It's about finding our way around Cyberspace to find answers to help. Folks like Barb and Pam and Bill are invaluable for all of us. > Trouble is, med speak is a foreign language ... AMEN! Of course, computer speak isn't much better. :-/ > Abby normal's brain mean anything to you? Uh, you probably know this ... it came from Young enstein, where Dr enstein ask's his assistant if the brain he just put into the monster and revived was the famous humanitarian. His assistant, Igor noted " Well, no. " Dr F asks whose brain that was then... " Abby. Abby Someone. Abby Someone? Yes, Abby Normal [abnormal] ... " I love slightly twisted humor and Young enstein is full of it. Lots of fun. Plus, it's message of human spirit overcoming the greatest of obstacles is very reassuring for all of us. Guest guest
Marilyn If you have Netscape Mail Go to the top of your New Message and click the Help A menu will come down. Click Index and it will give you all kinds of help topics. The one to help you insert addresses and such is called Attachments. Or you can type in the request for what you need to know. You wrote: > I would like to know how to get and e-mail or web address > into e-mail correspondence so that it will open directly. Sigh! I tried. Really I did. It's been crazy around here this week. So, had your note open on my system desktop, just never did get around to it. Apologies for the delay. The secret is to use CTRL-C and CTRL-V. For example to snag the email address for this mailing list, I click in the 'To' field, type CTRL-C (Copy) [ hold the ctrl key down - usually located below the shift key - and while holding it down, type c ]. This moves that field into the 'Paste Buffer'. You can then paste that buffer into a document by pressing CTRL-V [ same as CTRL-C, but use type v ]. For example: shydrager Or if you want to copy and paste a Web site address (a URL), then goto your navigator window and click in the address field, type Ctrl-C, then switch back to the document into which you want to paste the address and press Ctrl-V. For example: http://www.wizwheelz.com/ Hope that explanation helps. Regards, =jbf= B. Fisher
