Guest guest
Thanks for sharing Heidi. I guess I will have to experiment on what works for me. I visited your website. Wow lady - you look great! I am looking forward to being " on the other side " too. It's not that far away, and it will be here in no time. Guest guest
ann They are correct in saying that each surgeon has their own protocol they use. I wasn't allowed solids, everything was liquified....for 4 weeks. I ate cottage cheese, baby food (whatever tasted good), lotsa soups and broths, water, tea. Your doctor will give you what he feels you should have. Another great word of advice, if it doesn't sound good, don't eat it. Your new tummy probably won't like it then. > My open DS will be coming up in 18 days. I am trying to be as > prepared as possible with what I might need for the first couple of > weeks. Guest guest
This is really amazing at what can be eaten after this type of surgery. I see a lot of advantages of the DS over the RNY in many respects. I have a friend who just had the DS surgery a few days ago (we have the same doctor) and she told me he said she could eat just about what ever she could. She did also say the doctor plans to have a written list for her by the time she comes in for her first post op visit. Thanks for everyone's comments!
