Well, Lindsey, I'm not sure whether to Congratulate you or not! *GRIN* But maybe this will hold some answers for you. Has Dr. Metzger told you what kind of treatment you will have to do? I wonder how many with v. pain have tested positive for Lyme and been successfully treated (meaning NO more v. pain). God Bless, / WV

I am anxiously awaiting Monday morning when Dr. M's office opens up...so I can talk to her about what treatment to go with. I will fill you all in once I know. I know has been treated for chronic Lyme with Dr. M and has seen a substantial improvement...so I'm hoping that I go that way. What makes me VERY SAD is that as I read the list of symptoms I realize that my dad probably died of complications from chronic Lyme. We were on vacation together when he contracted it (we were both bitten by ticks, btw). He HATED doctors and thought they knew NOTHING so he didn't have a regular physician. He called his girlfriend's MD and told him his symptoms and INSISTED that he be treated for Lyme. He was given the "accepted" model of two weeks of antibiotics, and he did feel better. But he died about eight years later from various organ failure. He had peripheral neuropathy, kidney and heart failure-all things that could be

related to Lyme. So...maybe it was Lyme, maybe it wasn't, but I'm glad for the better labs and tests. Lindsey

Hi Lindsey--

I am sorry about your father. This whole thing is such an unnecessary

tragedy--hopefully

one day soon our diagnosis and healing won't be impeded by the egos and

politics

running health care.

I have done a fair amount of thinking about which direction to go in treating

Lyme. I

started out with antibiotics but it was making me so anxious because I've had so

many

yeast issues. I'm going to try Cat's Claw for a while, Metzger says she's had a

lot of

success using it with her vv/lyme patients.

I just wish there was a definitive treatment plan!!!
