Guest guest
Hi All, I noticed the discussions r.e. storage and stability of Humatrope, and wanted to share the following info... From official documentation re storage/stability of Humatrope cartridges and diluent for Humatrope sent to me by Eli Lilly USA in response to a request I made..... (The following info pertains to Humatrope cartridges for use with the HumatroPen ONLY - NOT Humatrope vials...) Prior To Reconstitution: " Prior to reconstitution, cartridges of Humatrope as well as the diluent for Humatrope are stable when refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (36 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit) until the date of expiration printed on the label. Avoid freezing the diluent for Humatrope. Unreconstituted Humatrope can remain at a maximum of 77 degrees Fahrenheit for no longer than 48 hours as a one time event. " After Reconstitution With Diluent For Humatrope: " When reconstituted with diluent for Humatrope, cartridges of Humatrope are stable for up to 28 days if stored in a refrigerator at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius (36 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit). Avoid freezing the reconstituted cartridge of Humatrope. If the reconstituted product has been left at room temperature conditions (77 degrees Fahrenheit or below) for longer than 30 minutes per day, it is recommended that the patient does not use the reconstituted product. " As always, please check with the director of your respective pharmaceutical companies to obtain *accurate* information wrt the storage/stability of the rhGH brand your child is using. Hope this helps! P. " Life's truest happiness is found in the friendships we make along the way. "
