Guest guest
My 7 year old is having a flare after 3 1/2 years of doing SCD and doing great with the diet until now. My question is can I give him his probiotics and vitamins during the flare or do you think his stomach is too sensitive right now. He hasn't be able to eat because he is so sick. He was throwing up all day yesterday and he is going to the bathroom every 1/2 an hour today with blood. I am really scared I don't want him to have to go to the hospital. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been able to get him to drink a little, but he hasn't be able to eat for three days now. Should I be pushing the SCD intro diet or not to worry since everything is going through him? If you have been doing SCD for a while and than you have a flare (I think it was the yogurt...I introduced it to him about 3 months ago) can it be stopped on its own and how long will it take? I just don't want him to get on steroids because last time he was on them he wasn't able to get off them, until I started the SCD diet. It took a very long time. Thank you for listening!
