Guest guest
Hi All, Most among our ranks had a 2004 in which there was room for improvement in one way or another, so my greetings are for a better year for all. Let's hope and pray that the coming year will be a memorable one in which we will be blessed with an effective treatment and perhaps even a cure. On that note, let me report some news from yesterday's NY Times. In a brief sentence about Pfizer, the article stated that the company had just received FDA approval for a new drug for neuropathic pain, called Lyrica. It should be available next month. Its main use is intended for diabetic neuropathy, lupus and shingles. I'd venture a guess that it will give some relief to those of us who have pain from our PLS or HSP. That's encouraging, isn't it? Drug searches don't have any information about it yet, but I'll try getting some from the company after the holiday. Dolores
