I just had a saliva test with elevated cortisol.

Look at

www.diagnose-me.com/cond/C314595.html

It basically says that long-term stress of any kind

(emotional/physical/mental) can cause this. In my case, I think it's

long-standing illness from

untreated Hashimoto's.

They recommend a supplement called Phosphytidal Serine which can lower the

level of stress hormones such as cortisol.

Hi,

I " m way behind in my e-mails! I wanted to welcome you! Glad you've

joined us.

Hope you have gotten some answers to your questions. I know stress can

cause

cortisol to be high. But others here can give you more info.

in Va.

Hi everyone!

I am 39 yo with hashimotos hypoT, dx'd 2001, taking .075 lexovyl.

Can anyone tell me what would cause cortisol to be high? As well as

DHEAS?

I had saliva testing and it came back high, on both.

Thanks!

P.S. I have always had the feeling that this wasn't just thyroid, esp

with everything I have been experiencing.
