I just had a saliva test with elevated cortisol. Look at www.diagnose-me.com/cond/C314595.html It basically says that long-term stress of any kind (emotional/physical/mental) can cause this. In my case, I think it's long-standing illness from untreated Hashimoto's. They recommend a supplement called Phosphytidal Serine which can lower the level of stress hormones such as cortisol. I am 39 yo with hashimotos hypoT, dx'd 2001, taking .075 lexovyl. Can anyone tell me what would cause cortisol to be high? As well as DHEAS? I had saliva testing and it came back high, on both.
