l-glutamine question

A very good friend and I were chatting last night, and he is a serious body

builder, he takes l-glutamine. So in chatting, he was telling me the benefits

he sees. Did a little research and lightbulbs went off. Sounds like

something that would be good for me. Some of the statements that most

interested me were:

*boosts immune system

*builds lean muscle

*cell hydration

*repairs leaky gut & ulcers

Anyone have any info on this? Would there be any reason not to supplement a bit

with this?
